November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election - Observation and Transparency Workshop, Elections Office Tour & Logic and Accuracy Testing

(Woodland, CA) - The Yolo County Elections Office will conduct the pre-election testing of the voting equipment, known as the Logic and Accuracy Test (LAT) on Friday, October 3, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Prior to the LAT, the Elections Office will provide a tour at 9:30 a.m. to familiarize potential election observers with the office and observation procedures.

Both the tour and LAT will be held at the Yolo County Elections Office, 625 Court Street, Suite B-05, Woodland. All groups and individuals are invited to participate.

“The Logic and Accuracy Test is a verification process that ensures our voting equipment and software are functioning properly. To promote transparency in elections the LAT process and the scanning of ballots are open to the public,” says Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. “We welcome visitors to the Elections Office to observe this process.” 

In addition, the Elections Office will hold an Observation and Transparency Workshop on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom. This workshop will provide an overview of election activities and guidance for those interested in observing on Election Day. 

Those interested are encouraged to RSVP to elections@yolocounty.gov by October 1, 2025, for the tour and LAT, and by Friday, September 26, 2025, to receive the Zoom link for the Observation and Transparency Workshop.
