California State Senator Christopher Cabaldon will be the featured speaker at the League of Women Voters of Yolo County’s annual State of the Community Luncheon. The event will take place on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Yolo Event Center, 1225 E. Kentucky Ave., from noon to 1:30 p.m. Registration is required. Register at lwvyolo.org/soc-2026/#registration by Monday Feb. 16. This year’s event is the 32nd State of the Community Luncheon hosted by the local League as its annual fundraiser. Funds will go to support their ongoing nonpartisan voter education efforts and the League’s 2026 initiative to expand outreach to all corners of the County, including youth, rural and low-voting-participation residents. State Senator Cabaldon will discuss current challenges, outline opportunities to better support the needs of Yolo County residents and highlight key achievements during his time in office.
This year’s luncheon event will be catered by Ludy’s Catering, with vegetarian and vegan options available. Tickets are $35 per person, or $250 for a table of eight. Sponsorships are also available. Sponsors wishing to be named in the printed program should purchase sponsorships by Monday, Feb. 23.
