Business Walk Week
Business Walk Week
9/21/2026 - 9/26/2026
Description
Make a Direct Impact on Our Local Business Community
Every thriving economy relies on strong relationships, clear communication, and proactive support. Business Walk Week is the Woodland Chamber of Commerce’s boots-on-the-ground survey campaign designed to connect directly with local business owners, entrepreneurs, and operators across our city.
We are seeking enthusiastic community advocates, local leaders, and volunteers to walk Woodland’s commercial corridors, connect face-to-face with local owners, and help us capture vital economic insights.
What You Will Do as a Business Walk Volunteer
As a volunteer, you serve as a vital liaison between Woodland's business owners, the Chamber, and civic partners. Working in small teams, you will visit local shops, offices, and commercial districts to listen, engage, and collect data.
- Conduct Brief Surveys: Administer short, structured 5-minute surveys to gather real-time feedback on business health, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Listen & Build Relationships: Provide business owners with a direct line to share their experiences, achievements, and resource needs.
- Collect Business Insights: Gather ground-level data that directly informs economic development strategies and local business support programs.
Why Your Participation Matters
Business Walk Week is a listening effort that drives tangible results for Woodland. The insight gathered during your walking shifts helps:
- Identify Critical Support Needs: Pinpoint businesses that require immediate assistance, resources, or regulatory guidance.
- Strengthen Local Advocacy: Supply factual, real-time data to city officials and civic leaders to help remove barriers to business growth.
- Foster Economic Vitality: Reinforce Woodland’s unique business ecosystem, from our historic downtown district and agricultural roots to our growing industrial hubs.
Join the Walking Team
No prior survey experience is necessary, just an interest in supporting Woodland’s local economy and a willingness to connect with our business community. Complete training, survey tools, and team pairings are provided prior to departure.
